Sandra Bullock Drops Perfect Comment Before Donating $1 Million to Harvey Victims in Texas

From the friendly neighbor to celebrities, ranging from comedian and actor Kevin Hart to the band Lady Antebellum, people all over the country have been stepping up to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Although one celeb raised the bar exponentially when she donated a whopping $1 million to the Red Cross in an effort to help those in need.

That woman is actress Sandra Bullock and she’s stepped up in a massive way.

While her donations are admirable, it was her words that spoke with even greater volume.

During an interview with People magazine, Bullock said of her seven figure donation:

“I’m just grateful I can do it. We all have to do our part.

There are no politics in eight feet of water. There are human beings in eight feet of water.”

Bullock is a longtime supporter of the Red Cross and even has a home in Texas, People notes.

Elizabeth Penniman, Vice President of Communications for American Red Cross national headquarters, talked the magazine about Bullock’s donation:

“This is an incredible gift. We’re so thankful. It’s times like this when we do receive such an incredible amount of support. Especially during times of disaster, people see what’s happening in Texas and our hearts all go out to them. Having someone like Sandra Bullock make this kind of commitment, it helps bring people together and open their hearts and be even more generous.”

For those looking to donate to Hurricane Harvey victims, you can go to the Red Cross Foundation.

Every little bit helps.
